Their first Fourth...

Well, I'm FINALLY getting around to posting about the babies' very first Fourth of July! While I do have a tendency to be tardy with things of this nature, this has got to be a new personal best. Or is it personal worst? Hmm?

I picked up our new wheels on the 3rd, just in time to pack that puppy up and hit the highway. The packing did NOT go as smoothly as I had envisioned when I dreamt of owning a tank. Car seat installation took some finagling and the trunk had to be packed and repacked, but we managed.

The good news is, we carefully followed the advice of our trusty GPS navigator, Jill, and made it on time or as close to it as we Walkers ever get.

"Where were we headed," you ask. Off to the East Coast for some fun in the sun in celebration of our country's independence and the recent marriage of Ryan's cousin Danny to his BEAUTIFUL wife, Shannon. You see, this perfect pair tied the knot out of state and some of us weren't able to be there for the main event. So, Aunt Crystie (that would be Danny's mama), held a beach party in honor of their union!

We had so many helping hands that I even recall slipping down to the beach with my husband and NO KIDS! LOADS OF FUN!

Now, I took some pictures with my little point and shoot that, well, get the job done. BUT, if you want to see some truly beautiful images from our exciting day, check out Dawn McCarthy's blog. She's a photographer and family friend of the groom. She captured some adorable shots of the Nugs and the Bride and Groom.

On with the show!

the kids are just so cute and so big now! Hard to believe they were preemies. Very impressive the trips you are taking and I'm glad to know it took lots of repacking, as it is hard to get it together with one kid and two parents, let alone 4 kids!
